The manga adaptation by Futago Minaduki and the novels are being released by J-Novel Club, which outlines the plot:
Meet Rio, a heartless orphan who lives in the ghetto. He discovers at the age of 7 that he is, in fact, the reincarnation of Japanese university student Haruto Amakawa, who had a traumatic history. Rio discovers he has incredibly strong magical talents while still in shock, and he uses these newfound abilities to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl. His good deed is recognized, and as compensation, he is accepted into a prominent school for children of nobility.
Yuri Kitayama began serializing the story on the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" (Let's Become Novelists) website in February 2014, and Hobby Japan began publishing the print edition of the novels with artwork by Riv in 2015. The manga version of the novels was released by Futago Minaduki in 2017.
